The death of Darren Taylor, of Esgenoôpetitj, NB, occurred on Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at his residence at the age of 57. Born in Newcastle, NB, he was the son of the late Eldon and Marie (Larry) Taylor. Darren worked as a Scuba Diver and Wharf Security and served as an esteemed Esgenoôpetitj Band Constable prior to that. He loved his dogs immensely, he also enjoyed hunting, fishing, being outdoors, playing and coaching hockey, helping people, and making everyone laugh with his great sense of humour.

Darren is survived by his Siblings: Lisa Taylor, Gail Taylor, Jeannie Taylor, Gina Taylor, Dallas Taylor, Godfather: John (Albert) Martin, of Fredericton.
Godchildren: Carolyn Larry; Rick Nolan Dedam; and Candida (Paul) Nickerson all of Esgenoôpetitj. Nieces and Nephews: Gabriel Taylor, Damian Taylor, Tessy Taylor-Dupont, Christina Taylor, Candida Nickerson, Dane Paul, Emma Taylor, Wade Taylor, Ken Taylor. Cruz Taylor, and many Great Nieces and Nephews.

Besides his Parents, Darren is predeceased by his sister: Jill Taylor.

The family will receive visitors at the home of Candida Nickerson, 606 Bayview Drive, Esgenoôpetitj, NB on Sunday Feb 26, after 7 PM and again on Monday. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at 10:30 AM. Burial will take place later in Spring.
