1969 – 2023
Peter Douglas Ward of Esgenoôpetitj, NB, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on February 22, 2023 at the age of 53. Born in Chatham, NB, the son of the late Peter and Loretta (Paul) Ward.
Peter is survived by son: Aaron Joe; sisters: Nicole Ward (Bruno) and Mary Ward; brothers: Henry Ward (Chandra), Christopher Ward, Norman Dedam and Colton Metallic; grandchildren: Losealia Augustine, Lentôq Augustine and Banye Ward; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Peter is predeceased by son: Allen Andrew Joe; sisters: Linda Paul and Maryanne Paul; brothers: Raymond Ward and Darren Ward.
Visitation will take place at Peter’s sister residence 579 Mic Mac Road, Esgenoôpetitj on Tuesday, February 28th after 5:00 PM and again on Wednesday, March 1st.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Esgenoôpetitj, NB on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at 10:30 AM with Father Godwin Kalu officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery later in the spring.
