Obituaries

The death of Tony Edward Collette of Miramichi, NB, occurred on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at the age of 66. Born in Newcastle, NB, he was the son of the late Ronald and Pauline (Tozer) Collette. Tony worked over the years as a longshoreman and was a stationary engineer. He loved music whether playing guitar, singing or songwriting.
Tony is survived by his children: Melodee Anderson (Eric Robichaud) of Loggieville, NB; Evan Stem of Eel Ground, NB; siblings: Lois Madsen of Miramichi, NB; Marla Parks (Robert) of Wayerton, NB; Terry Collette (Shelley) of Miramichi, NB; grandchildren: Adelyn and Rhea; nieces: Paige, Kayla and Annica and nephew: Derek.
Besides his parents, Tony is predeceased by son: Buddy Lobban; infant sister: Paula; brother-in-law: Jan Madsen and stepfather: Burton Ramsay.
A gathering of Tony’s family and friends will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #10, Newcastle on Thursday August 24, 2023 from 5-7 PM.
