A well-known resident of the Miramichi, Doris Siddall has departed this life to be with her Lord on August 25, 2023 at the age of 95.

Her children: Ken (Dawn), Betty, Gail and Roy (Nicole) will dearly miss her.

Survived by ten grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews; also her brothers Ross and Wilson McKinnon.

Doris was one of twelve children whose parents were Melissa (McKinley) and Myles McKinnon of Upper Derby.

In 1948 Doris and Bill began Siddall’s Jewelry. Following Bill’s death at age 46, Doris continued with the business until her retirement in 1980.

Doris was associated with the Highland Society, the Eastern Star Miramichi Chapter #44, the Derby and Sunny Corner Seniors and a member of St. Andrews Anglican Church Newcastle and in later years St. Peters Anglican Church in Millerton.

Doris was a founding member of St. John Ambulance Nursing Division Newcastle #364. She was honored to receive a certificate of “ Priority of Thanks” in Fredericton. And was presented the Venerable Order of Serving Sister in Ottawa by Governor General Michener for her years of service.

Predeceased by two husbands: Bill Siddall and Joe Johnston and numerous family members.

At her request there will be no funeral service. A private family burial will take place.
