Obituaries

It's with sad hearts that we announce the passing of Iona Elizabeth (Arbeau) Kervin which occurred at the DECH in Fredericton, NB on Sept 8th, 2023.

Daughter of the late Gordon W. Arbeau and Minnie A Arbeau, born August 19th, 1939.

She was a member of the United Baptist Church in Upper Blackville, a homemaker and was an excellent baker. She loved making homemade bread and pies and sharing them with others. You would never leave her home without being offered a treat or a cup of tea.

She is survived by two sons, Stephen Kervin (Marsha) and Perry Kervin, three daughters, Mary Torres (David), Esther Bliss (Doug), and Kathy Arsenault, three grandchildren, Rebecca Pitre (Shawn), Chloe Torres and James Rennick. Also, four great granddaughters. Savannah, Nathalie, Harper, and Emersyn.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by one infant son, Donnie Kervin, one daughter, Gloria Kervin, three brothers Wallace Arbeau, Morris Arbeau, and Winston Arbeau, also two sisters, Doris Arbeau and Winifred Arbeau.

To honor her wishes, there will be no funeral, only a short graveside service. Details to follow.

As an expression of sympathy, donations can be made to the memorial of the donor’s choice.
