With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lucien J. Morris at the age of 77 on September 22, 2023. Born in Beaverbrook, NB, he was the son of the late Zenon and Melva Morris.

He was preceded by his wife Amanda Morris, his sister Rosalie Robichaud and brothers Edmond and Raymond Morris.

 

Lucien is survived by his daughters Huguette English, Claudette (Kevin) Butler and his son Kevin (Roxanne Blanchette) Morris and his grandchildren Tiffany (Gordon Ward) English, Kirk (Taylor Blackmore) English, Tyler, Erika, and Riley Butler. He is also survived by 11 siblings: Annette (George) Terry, Doris (John) Miller, Gisele (Roger) Rodrigue, Claudine Morris, Roger Morris, Jacques (Maria) Morris, Gilles (Phyllis) Morris, Louis (Michele) Morris, Nicole Morris, Solange (Wilfred) Yetman, Angel (Roger) L’Huillier, brother-in-law Louis Robichaud, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.

Lucien was a hard-working woodsman, worked at Heath Steele Mines and was a truck driver. He had a great sense of humour. He loved the outdoors, dancing, listening to music, playing horseshoes, playing cards, and making fudge for the community.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Bridgeview Hall for their excellent care.  He adored the staff and residents and loved putting a smile on their faces. He was known as the pizza man and the music man.

Visitation will be at the Jardine Funeral Home, 597 Old King George Hwy, Miramichi on Tuesday September 26, 2023, from 2 PM to 4 PM and 7 PM to 9 PM.   Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday September 27, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Notre Dame l’Esperance, Ascension church, Beaverbrook. Burial will be held a later date.

As expression of sympathy, donations can be made to the Beaverbrook Cemetery.
